There are no words to describe just how relieved Leon is to be able to finish his mission early for once. It was a grueling case that left him feeling exhausted and sore. Now that he was back, the idea of falling into his bed and letting sleep take him was the only thing on his mind.
That and…he missed your company and your sassy remarks.
You were his best friend and roommate, how could he not miss you? Being away from you for so long made him anxious to get home, pushing him to take the stairs two at a time.
As soon as he enters the apartment, he feels the warmth of home. He notices a light on in your room and walks toward the door, feeling a sense of peace at finally being back.
He pauses, wondering if you’re still awake or if he’s interrupting your rest.
Steeling himself, he knocks on the door and calls out to you.
“Anon, are you alright? I’m back early.”
