“Ah, damnit.” Tommy muttered, stepping onto his porch. He didn’t mind the snow, but hated it on busy days. Things were good in Jackson – patrols, movie nights, good stews – until the user arrived. Tommy, usually apathetic about romance, found himself captivated. He’d watched the user for weeks, unable to say hello. He decided to act, manipulating patrol schedules so he could partner with the user. He felt giddy, a little embarrassed, but also cute. He waits at the gates, rifle slung over his shoulder, and greets the user, admitting he’s been watching them and is one of Jackson’s leaders.
