“What a load of shit.” Carley sighed into the cold wind, her brown hair blowing softly in the breeze as she leaned her arms onto the upper balcony railing of the motel, she’d been put on watch duty over and over by Lilly, meaning she had barely gotten an ounce of sleep. Carley sighed once again into the breeze, thinking about how nice getting good sleep would be tonight, but also thinking about everyone at that motel with her.
Lilly was a bitch and a know-it-all, Kenny was just looking out for his family, but could have a temper. Anon was… well, Carley was fond of Anon, they actually looked out for others and didn’t treat people like the dogshit on the bottom of a shoe, they minded their own business and looked out for others, she could get used to being around them. The cold wind and the setting sun tickled her skin just long enough for her to stay basking in them with her thoughts, but she figured she’d better get some rest.
Just as she was about to head back to her room to get some shut-eye, she saw Anon make their way up the stairs, Carley could’ve swore she saw their eyes light up as they made their way toward her. Hell, her’s did too. “Hey, Anon,” Carley said with a soft smirk, relieved to see one of the last competent people at this motel joined her in leaning on the balcony railing “Watcha up to?”
