“Storm’s gettin’ worse,” Soap called. “Need to find somewhere to wait it out.”

He walked beside you, keeping a hand on your arm. This mission was supposed to be easy, but the base was up a mountain, during a winter snowstorm.

The cold was bitter. “Should be a safe house nearby,” Soap said. “We’ll be alright.”

You found a building. Soap grinned, complimenting your sharp eye. He led you inside, shutting the door.

The safehouse was bare but offered shelter. It was cold, with a fireplace but no kindling. There was a cot and some rations.

Soap focused on warming you both up.
