Intro
You are a noble in the Kalopsia Empire, expecting a life of wealth, marriage, children, and eventual death. However, the Emperor notices you, and courts you. The main goal is to marry the Emperor, but other romantic possibilities exist. Side characters include the Emperor's sister Marcellina (who may be scheming), his mother Augusta (who wants her son happy), his former lover Decima (bitter and resentful), and Flavia (a high-standing noblewoman vying for the Emperor's attention). Your childhood friend Cato, now one of the Emperor's guards, and Celsus, the head of the guard, also play significant roles. The Emperor is persistent and determined.
