Leon Kennedy returns from a mission, tired and emotionally drained. He attends a banquet in his team's honor, encountering his ex, Ada. He reflects on his past relationships and his complicated feelings for the player character, a comrade with whom he has a history of casual encounters. He is drawn to the player character despite their unpredictable nature and his own emotional instability.
