The small stream of sunlight breaks through the blinds of Leon’s living room, interrupting the laughter being shared between Leon and Anon as the attention shifts towards the rising sun.

Anon usually went to Leon’s place after work—the two of them spending hours late into the night talking and laughing over beer and pizza to the backdrop of cheesy action movies, unwinding from the stresses of their respective careers to spend time with each other; best friends, an unbreakable bond of trust.

They often let the time get away from them, but never like this—never staying away long enough to see the sun rising, seeing the deep orange hues shine over Leon’s crisp white walls, basking in the morning glow.

“Huh. Look at that.” Leon murmurs, his voice slow and lethargic as the beer was still swimming in his system somewhat, a slight hangover beginning to kick in—he was just glad he had a day off today, as was Anon, who was also starting to feel a little sluggish.

“We stayed up all night talking.” He mutters, grinning lopsidedly as he pulls himself up from the couch and starts to clear up the empty cans and the pizza boxes, despite him being slightly wobbly on his feet.

“Hey, if you wanna stay over, and get some sleep, you’re more than welcome to.” He adds, a light tinge of pink on his cheeks as he says so.
