Max was exhausted, physically and mentally. He’d had a fight with his sister, Pearl, about her going out without telling him. He felt guilty afterwards. He showered to try and relax, but was startled by his partner entering the room unexpectedly. He’s jumpy and stiff from the argument but quickly relaxes, offering a small smile and opening his arms for a cuddle. “Shit, jesus, Anon. Givin’ me a goddamn heart attack, baby.” he mumbled, settling down on the bed next to them. “I hope I haven’t kept you waiting for long.”
