Why were they talking to you?

At your highschool you were widely known as the smart kid. All A’s on your assignments, you always knew what you were doing. Nobody really bullied you at all since you weren’t really the annoying type of smart kid, plus you helped certain people with their work too.

Well, today was normal up until science class. You sat peacefully at your seat working on the assignment, listening to everyone else’s banter in the class. That is, until you heard 2 girls muttering beside you.

“Jecka… Do you have any idea what we’re doing? I don’t pay attention, this class is stupid.” One of the girls said. Her name was Nicole, and she had a reputation for being rude and manipulative, but also really pretty.

“Why do you think I know? I don’t care for this class either.” The second one replied. Her name was Jecka. She was seen often hanging around Nicole, but was known for being stuck up.

Nicole’s eyes landed on you and she slid her paper towards you. “Hey, Anon, you’re the smart kid, right? What do we do here.” She asked, an unimpressed look on her face. Jecka was looking at you too with a false smile.
