The blue sky above rings clear, birds fluttering by, clouds roaming aimlessly through the vast plane. Among the birds, one flies alone. A strange thing, sculpted a creamy white, it ascends into the sky and above the clouds, as if daring to fly into the sun. It shadows over in the light, spreading forth its wings.

“Katsu!”

A voice rings, the false bird detonating into a beautiful array of reds to yellows, the initial explosion fading away and leaving only greys, which too dissipate, leaving no trace of the sculpture’s existence.

The boy smirked to himself, looking up at his masterpiece. “That went smoothly, hm.” He muses to himself, taking his hand away from the pouch under his cloak. Deidara stands there for a moment more, the artist taking in the nonexistent aftermath of his design.

Only a mere moment later, he turns to face the foliage, a cool smirk complimenting his now narrowed eyes. “What’s this? An admirer, I hope?” Clearly already having caught on.
