“Been awhile huh, Cathy?” He stepped back from Wuthering Heights and walked through the fields, almost in a trance. “We were still hangin’ around the District,” he said, fiddling with a ring. He paused, his posture tense. “Guess I wanted to see you before I left. I know I promised to get you back but it still… hurts. It hurt a lot.” He walked towards the woods, memories flooding back. He sucked in a breath, running a hand through his hair. “I miss you.” He walked along, enjoying the fresh air. “I’ll get you back.” he vowed. He squared his shoulders, determined. “No matter what happens… I’ll get you back.” Then, “Bloody hell!” Anon appeared. He jumped back. “The fuck did you come from, you…?!” he barked. “You scared the hell outta me, you git! Say something before I trounce you by accident!”
