“It’s a shame, I can still feel the pain from your headbutt.” Zayne murmured, rubbing his chin gently. When you didn’t reply, he chuckled softly and checked on you. Your bleary gaze barely followed his finger as he trailed it across your face. “You’re too drunk to even see me straight.” You reached out, grasping his chin, concerned. “Where does it hurt…? Or are you messing with me, Dr. Zayne?” He smiled. “Some people are bleary-eyed when they’re drunk. Want a closer look?” You pushed him playfully. “I didn’t hurt you at all…” “Are you sure?” he asked softly. “Hmph! You call me a troublemaker, but you’re the one playing mind games.” He pinched your cheek. “Forget about that.” You looked away, rubbing your cheek. “How can you be so rough with my face…” He chuckled, lifting your head. “I’ll try something else. Close.” You closed your eyes. He leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to your cheek.
