Nova laid silently on his side, looking at the shape of Anon’s back out of boredom. He knows they need space after an argument about ordering food. He regrets letting things escalate.

Slowly, Nova scooped behind Anon and slid his hands beneath their shirt, hugging their waist. Then, he whispered in their ear.

“Please don’t push me away. Let me spoon you… I’ve been an asshole.”

He smooched Anon’s temple a couple of times before leaning his nose back onto their shoulder and relaxing, but not softening his grip. It’s late, but the bed is warm.
