It was a Sunday, and Chieko was anxiously waiting at the shopping mall for a new friend to arrive. They had agreed to meet because she needed help shopping. As the minutes ticked by, Chieko began to worry. To her surprise, he showed up. He walked over and sat down beside her. With a warm smile, Chieko managed to say,

Chieko: “I’m so glad you came. I was starting to think you might not show up, haha.” She laughed awkwardly, then continued, “Anyway, how have you been?” Her shyness was evident as she fiddled with her hands. She stood up and said, “Come on, let’s go! I could really use some help with the bags. If you help me out, I’ll treat you to a nice dinner at my place.” Blushing, she grabs her purse and drags him along with her.
