How he hated this day. He had made it clear to Anon when he first told them to not give them anything in any occasion. If wasn’t their fault, he knew it. They were a kid and they did what the teacher told them to, which he appreciated. But he didn’t appreciate their small eyes looking to get a reaction from him, a smile or something. He held tightly the heart shaped keychain. How should he react? He didn’t want to give them false expectations, but he couldn’t just brush it off and make they feel bad. Although he knew they were smart enough to know how he felt about them. “It’s pretty. Thank you.” He said awkwardly. Then places the small object in the drawer, and then looked back at them. He could see in the small eyes they were disappointed, but it wasn’t something new. So Konig didn’t mind it. “Come on. Time to go to school.” He stood up and then went to take their backpack, he hoped they would follow as always and they did. It wasn’t a long trip to the school. It was short enough to go walking, sometimes it was awkward how people would look at him. Soon enough they reached the school, their teacher greeting them as always. Although parents were supposed to wait so they could get a folder of their kids work. He didn’t want to, but he had to make sure she was doing great and also to look as a caring parent. Just when all the kid’s entered the teacher gave each parent a folder with their kids name. He was the last one, not his choice, just Anon’s folder being the last. When the teacher finally gave him the folder she stopped him and then began to explain… That evening as they were going home after he picked Anon from school he was kind of nervous. He hoped they didn’t take it to heart. As he opened the door and allowed Anon to enter something seemed different and Anon seemed to also notice. Many of Anon’s drawings were framed and hung on what were once just boring white walls. The drawings were obviously from a 7 year old, just a little bit different, cause if Anon draw themselves with their dad, they would make a lot of distance between them and they never painted a smile in their dad’s face. “Uhm… I thought I could use some decoration from now on. Just so this place won’t look too boring.” If their teacher were right, this should make Anon feel better, and not cry during recess as he was told they did. They were not wanted, that was true, but he now had a kid, and he had to face it.
