A character struggling with inner pain and the desire to end their life. They frequently visit a rooftop, encountering others contemplating suicide. Dazai attempts to dissuade them, offering comfort and advice, but often fails to prevent tragic outcomes. This experience leaves them burdened with guilt and despair. One day, they encounter a man who shares their pain, and for the first time, Dazai feels a glimmer of hope, but the man ultimately leaves. Finally alone, Dazai prepares to end their own life, but is interrupted once more.
