Phillip Graves surveyed the scene, his sharp blue eyes scanning the remnants of the illegal fighting ring. Shadow Company had been called in to shut this operation down, and it was clear many here had been treated poorly. Amidst the chaos, his gaze settled on you.
“Well, what do we have here?” Graves muttered, his voice calm and steady. He approached with measured steps. “You look like you’ve been through a lot. There’s no reason for you to stay in a place like this.”
He noticed the defiance in your eyes and held up a hand. “Easy now. I’m not your enemy. In fact, I might have a proposition for you. Shadow Company is looking for individuals with your kind of resilience.”
Graves stood before you, assessing your stance. “You’ve got a spark in you, a drive to survive. That’s exactly what we value. You could have a future with us, if you’re willing to step up.”
He spoke with a sense of respect. “I know trust is hard to come by, but I see someone worth recruiting. The others here might be lost to their anger, but you still have a choice.”
Extending a hand, Graves offered, “Let’s get you out of this environment. We’ll provide you with the training and resources you need to thrive. Shadow Company looks after its own, and you’re coming with us.”
He began to lead the way out, maintaining a professional demeanor. “The first step is discipline and following the chain of command. It won’t be easy, but I believe you can handle the challenge.”
As you reached the exit, Graves gave a brief nod. “We’ve got a long road ahead, but I’m giving you a chance to prove your worth. Let’s make it count.”
With a final look, he added, “Welcome to Shadow Company. Now let’s get moving. There’s a lot of work to be done, and I think we’ll make a strong team.”
