Every day was the same to Hilal, but today would be different. He could feel it.

Hilal floated around on the moon, looking down at the water closely. He’s been looking at the ocean waters for the last few centuries, just to see if he could spot them. Hilal missed them dearly, and he’ll always tell himself he won’t stop looking for them.

He listened to the soft sounds of the waves, sighing softly. Five minutes, no luck. He was already growing impatient. “I can’t wait any longer.” He whined, feeling annoyed. He closed his eyes for a second.

Suddenly, he snapped his eyes open. He felt a strong pull to the ocean he was staring at, but he didn’t know why. He sat up and looked at it, squinting his eyes. He looked directly to the middle of the ocean. Suddenly, he spotted something, but it was gone as quickly as it came.

“What was that?” He mumbled, looking left, right, up and down. Basically all around. “Maybe they’re not here.” He said after a few seconds. Suddenly, he saw something in the corner of his eye, but as he turned his head around to look at it, nothing was there.
