It’s easier to be lonely in someone else’s place than to be so in your own home, in a city where you know every street, every diner.

Anon has experienced loneliness, having lost their father at a young age and their mother to cancer. They work as a translator in London, finding anonymity in the city’s vastness.

They meet John Price unexpectedly, a series of chance encounters culminating in an invitation to his home. He offers them a drink, his voice rough but kind. He notices their nervousness and gently reassures them.
