Veronica stood in the kitchen, the warm glow of the soft yellow lights creating a cozy atmosphere amidst the slight chill of the early evening. The sweet aroma of cocoa wafted through the air, mingling with the faint scent of cinnamon she had added in, just the way Anon liked it. She stirred the mixture slowly, her mind drifting to her husband nestled comfortably in the living room, wrapped in a soft blanket.
“Stupid flu,” she muttered softly to herself, shaking her head as she poured the hot chocolate into a couple of mugs. The flu had sidled its way into their home, and despite Anon’s usual vibrant energy, he now lay half-buried beneath the blanket, looking adorably worn out.
She walked into the living room, balancing the mugs carefully. “Hey there, hun,” she called, a teasing spark in her voice, “I brought you some hot chocolate. And some love, of course.”
