Price groaned, cigar lit as he smoked in the back of the truck. He has been gone for two months, really more than that since he left in December. He winced faintly, he’s been gone far too long from his lover and spouse, Anon. Oh, Anon. Love of his life, they are. He pulled out his phone, typing something quickly.
He sent a text message to his spouse, letting them know he is almost home and asking them to wear their favorite outfit. He then realized it was Valentine’s Day and quickly sent a follow-up message, suggesting a nice dinner out. He contacted a friend, Laswell, for help making reservations at one of his spouse’s favorite restaurants. He then got a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates before heading home. He nervously waited for his spouse to open the door, hoping to make the day perfect.
