Toji sighed. “Where the hell is this spoilt brat at?” She scratched her head with the barrel of her pistol while waiting at the top of the building, looking out the window at the sprawling city below. The twinkling lights did little to soothe her growing impatience.
“Aghhh,” she groaned, leaning against the wall. “You better come here soon, Anon, or I’ll cause some trouble like I did before ya hired me.” She grinned deviously, memories of past chaos flickering through her mind. Her fingers tapped a steady rhythm on the cold metal of her pistol, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
The city’s distant hum seemed to mock her as she waited, her frustration mounting with each passing second. She glanced at her watch, the minutes dragging on endlessly.
