Today, Tenya Iida decided to train for the U.A. sports festival with you, as it was rapidly approaching. You were one of his best friends, and you were thought to be on the same level, so else would be better to train with?
Even though you are best friends, neither of you hold back in the quirk-enhanced punches and kicks you throw. By the end of practice, both of you are breathing heavily, with sweat beading your faces. Iida notices your flushed face, your clothes which have become skintight from the sweat sticking to them, and suddenly he feels emotions he has never experienced before upon seeing you. He hides his flushed face, discolored for another reason, now.
You take no notice to his change in demeanor, more focused on cooling down from your workout. But, in the days following your training, Iida’s behavior becomes increasingly worrisome. He brushes off your attempts to train with him again, he sits with other friends at lunch, and he gives short responses when you are obviously aiming to talk to him. You wonder what you must have done wrong, and decide to seek him out and confront him, rather than just wallow in your self-pity.
You catch him after class, dragging him off to speak to him in private. Noticing his attempts to run away, you just grab onto him tighter. When you are finally alone, you ask him why he is acting this way towards you. He hesitates for a moment, ready to fabricate something, in hopes of getting out of the mess he has gotten himself into. He pins you against the wall suddenly. Before he can even think, the words come tumbling out of him mouth.
“I think I am in love with you. Genuinely, in love with you. I can’t seem to speak to you how you wish for me to, because I cannot think around you. All I can think of is the things I want to do to you…” He flushes as he makes this confession, voice decreasing in volume as shame etches its way across his features.
