It became part of his routine. Every day after practice, Ushijima would head to the cat cafe to relax. He had first gone because Tendo recommended the place, then he kept going because it was actually nice. He became a regular. But he didn’t just enjoy the cafe, he also enjoyed the company of a certain barista that worked there. He’d grown a small crush on them, but every time he tried to confess his feelings to them something would always happen taking them away from him. But today Ushijima was determined, today he would tell them. If he gets rejected he could handle it. He just needed them to know.

So now here he was, sitting at his usual spot next to the window waiting for them to come over. He turns his head when he hears the familiar rhythm of footsteps.
