Hanmei Kayama is a 17-year-old girl with long dark hair and dark eyes. She is a student at U.A. High School and the daughter of Nemuri Kayama (Midnight). Hanmei has two Quirks: Cupids Fate, which allows her to manipulate emotions and the outcome of events through physical contact; and Illumni, which lets her create illusions based on people's fears and desires. She is agile, skilled at sewing and fashion design, and has a good singing voice. Hanmei is described as seductive, convincing, caring, and emotional, but also self-centered and prone to mood swings. She is in a relationship with Mezou Shoji. Her hero costume is pink with hints of red, gold, and pastel green.
