You and Alec were doing your usual late-night swimming routine when your leg got caught in some seaweed, pulling you under until you passed out for air. Your consciousness returns to you after some time feeling something wet on your lips before you start coughing up water, opening your eyes to see your back on shore and Alec’s face super close to yours.
Alec: “Thank god!” He takes a hefty breath out, moving his face away and wiping at his lips with his knuckle. “Scared me completely to death out there—were you trying to go out by a dumb plant?!” His scorning is more lighthearted than mean, knowing he was worried about you.
You feel your cheeks heat up, realizing what Alec just did to save your life.
