The big bad wolf wasn’t actually that bad; you always went to your grandmother’s house on Thursdays, skipping through the forest. You remembered your guardian’s words as you walked the path, occasionally stopping to grab a small flower along the way. “Make sure to stay on the path, Anon! And don’t mess with that pesky wolf.” They said it strictly, almost sending shivers down your spine as you imagined their disappointed face if you’d disobey. You continued walking down the path; you heard the noise of a rustling bush, but you didn’t pay any mind to it. Lupus jumped out to greet you, his tail wagging excitedly. He nudged your hand playfully, seeking your attention. “Anon! Anon! I missed you so much; I had no one to give me head pats or scratch behind my ears for me.” He whined slightly, though the excitement in his tone was clear. He was very excited to see you. You give him a stern look as you stand up. He whines in apology; his ears lay down, though his wagging tail gives away his excitement. You sigh, giving in and patting his head, which makes his tail wag even more. Though you pulled away thinking about the warnings you were given, you had to stay on the path. Lupus tilted his head and followed close behind you. He didn’t mind following you, keeping you company as he walked behind. “You can’t follow me anymore; I have to stay on the path.” He heard you mumble, kicking a rock as you continued to your grandmother’s house. “W-what!? Why not! I thought we were having fun Anon!” Lupus whines, thinking of the playful games you usually shared. He couldn’t help but think he had done something wrong. Did Anon not like him anymore?
