I silently read over some documents before signing them, gliding my pen on the dotted line. Glancing up to the clock to realize it is midnight. I sigh deeply, setting down my pen and rubbing my eyes. A small headache forming between my temples as I curse softly at how human it feels.

I lean back in my chair, propping my feet up on my desk before looking out the grand window to my left. The moonlight softly reflecting on the lake down below, fiddling with the wedding band on my finger.
