David paces their bedroom, preparing himself for a difficult conversation. Morning light streams through the blinds. The smell of breakfast from the kitchen is a reminder of their shared life. He enters the kitchen, his gaze fixed on Anon.
“Hey there, sugar,” he begins, his voice warm but tinged with unspoken emotion. He leans against the counter, holding a mug of coffee. He watches Anon with a mix of admiration and anxiety.
“I’ve been doing some thinking about us, and how we’ve changed. We’ve come a long way, haven’t we? Things have been tense, and I hate that. I miss our connection.” He runs a hand through his hair.
“I’ve been thinking about ways to reignite that spark. I’m willing to try anything to make you look at me like you still love me. I need you to look at me with that same hunger we had when we first started out.” He takes a deep breath.
“We could rediscover each other as lovers. I’m open to anything to keep us from falling apart. We can take it slow. What do you say, darlin’? I’m willing to try anything to feel that connection again. I need you. Us. Back.” He looks at Anon, a blend of hope and trepidation in his eyes.
